I can consistently get about six minutes of usable flight using any given 250-260, and on a fully HV-charged GNB 260mAH I had a pretty amazing 6:36 before LVC (and those are far from my best cells, though they are the lightest). The good news is that the BS2 certainly seems to be consuming significantly less power then the VM2751 that was in there, and flight time is more consistent to what it was without the VM cam being powered at all. Color and contrast are both a little lighter than my VM275s but totally acceptable. I will test it further this week with regards to light handling and such. Lens appears to have that coating (has that iridescent look) but anytime there is strong lighting from the back or side, there's some weird light banding going on that is kind of distracting. There is some strange light refraction inside the lens that reminds me of pictures taken with an old film camera before they started putting that special coating on the lenses. I finally installed the AKK BS2 in my "hang time" Whoop last night. (Still need to go through and cross-reference the various AKK models.) Very nice cam, I have one also and it's one of those that I think might actually be made by AKK, hehe. That camera you have there appears to be identical to Eachines own EF-02. I'm a beginner in that respect as well, my first Betaflight quad will hopefully be here this week. I like BetaFPV translucents or King Kong 3 blades, but 2 blades and high rpm motors make a great sound, like a UFO from a 1950s sci-fi movie. Side note: With those motors you can probably run a 2 or 3 blade prop and pick up a good bit of flight time. So I'm very curious to see what happens when I get the BS2 in there. Flight time went up by more than TWO MINUTES, with the same flying weight, and no voltage sags noticeable during the flight (whereas before it would try to fall out of the air a couple times after 3:30 or so). I did not realize how dramatic a difference the cameras current draw made until I accidentally busted the power wire off a VM2751 camera (VM275T with video in and out for OSD). Your mutant project Whoop is looking good! I'm a fan of the VM275T camera (aka CM275T and 13 other names, this seems to be what you have there) but I have a new AKK BS2 to try out, which are supposed to have lower power consumption. I guess I'll just go ahead and order the cam the E010C, unless you guys can recommend something better? The camera mount itself was cut out of something that I believe originally was a part from a Tamiya Mini 4WD Grass Hopper Junior. The foam piece was cut out of a Eachine VTX03 packaging. I ordered both of the following receivers, they seem to be pretty much equal so I guess I'll just use whatever comes first: Original frame, it has been cut into pieces so that basically what is left are only the ducts along with the motor mounts and the brace connecting two ducts which will now serve as the camera mount holder: I'll just leave these pics here along with a parts list and will be coming back as I progress. I guess I'll just go ahead and order the cam the E010C, unless you guys can recommend something better?Īnyways, the only thing that is missing right now is a receiver, which is apparently still on its way from China. So here I am with an Eachine E010S frame cut in pieces and put together again, being reborn as a custom Tiny Whoop boasting an F4 flight controller with a blackbox on board, a set of purple Racerstar 67.000 RPM motors and, well, a crappy FPV cam from an Eachine Lizard95 that decided to get away from me taking the original E010C camera with it. I always enjoyed building and modifying stuff rather than settle for anything RTR or BNF. I didn't have many expectations when I ordered it along with a micro USB receiver to throw onto my phone and into a pair of cheap VR goggles I had sitting around. I'm new to these forums and wanted to share and discuss my current projects with you guys, starting with my custom Tiny Whoop.Īn Eachine E010C kicked-off my FPV journey mid of this year.
